Busking

It’s been a busy day today, I had to be at the dentist at 9.15am - turns out I need a filling :-( Then I went to the Nuffield Hospital for a further ultrasound on my shoulder and ended up having another injection. Apparently it’s not got any worse, but equally hasn’t improved.

At lunch time Alan and I went to White Cliffs Cafe on his lunch break and when he went back to work I caught the bus into town to meet Steffi. While I was waiting for the bus lots of police cars and a couple of ambulances arrived and drove down onto the Undercliff Walk - they went at quite a high speed and the life boat was in the sea. We later heard that a 40 year old man had ‘fallen’ from the top of the cliffs. It’s so very sad and my heart goes out to his family, but I’m very glad we weren’t down there when it happened!

Despite this I had a lovely afternoon with Steffi - we had a couple of glasses of wine at Oh So Social where the lovely Katherine Ellis is performing tonight, and then we strolled along the seafront taking in the pre-Pride atmosphere. On our way back we passed this young girl singing away, and stopped to take some photos. We put money in her pot and then I asked her for her email address and said I’ll send her the photos.

The bus journey home was very slow and it was a very packed bus so not very pleasant but Alan drove to meet me from the bus stop. We’ve then had a lovely evening in the garden/palace.
