Downpour

A round trip to Sherwood Forest, today. 

I do like driving - I like it a lot, actually - but motorway driving in the rain is a pain in the butt. I don't know what it's like these days but one of the biggest deficiencies of driving lessons for my generation was that no one was prepped for driving on the motorways. And that shows even more than usual when it's wet.

Anyway, minor whinge over. The meeting was great and the trip was totally worthwhile. I took this photo at a service station on the way back. The hint of blue sky in the distance is the summer fighting back but, Lord, it was just peeing down.
