Silo mural in Hämeenlinna
Today we drove to Hämeenlinna (Hubby, Peetu and me). We saw the highest mural in the Nordic countries (56 meters high). Guido van Helten, an Australian artist, has transformed an old grain silo into the beautiful work of art. Other van Helten murals are spread across America, Asia, Europe and his native Australia.
Hubby visited SA Kauppa (Finnish army surplus retail store), we had a picnic nearby Hämeenlinna castle and I visited Hämeenlinna Art Museum (Hjalmar Munsterhjelm's exhibition)
Hjalmar Munsterhjelm (1840–1905) is an icon of Finnish landscape painting. The exhibition at Hämeenlinna Art Museum showcases some of the most important and best-known works created by this well-loved artist. Hjalmar Munsterhjelm’s highly atmospheric depictions of rural life, lake scenes, snow-covered islands and moonlit nights continue to delight art lovers and collectors to this day. Munsterhjelm was a pioneer of Finnish landscape painting and the first to place a significant focus on wintry scenes. In addition to Finland, he also painted the lush scenery surrounding Düsseldorf and the soaring mountainscapes of southern Germany.

In the evening hubby and Emma went to Delfin Basket Tournament video shooting training and I had a lovely walk with Pia and Peetu.
Tomorrow I will have the third chemotherapy treatment.
