summer on the cycle path

This afternoon I cycled to the hospital to hand in the donations given at Virginia's funeral - she had wanted no flowers, but instead the money to go to the Alexandra Unit, which is our hospice facility at DGRI.

I had a sit down for a while on the way home and this view is from the seat at  the beginning/end  of the cycle path on the old Maxwelltown railway line. It can be quite hairy negotiating the double hairpin bend when going downhill towards the hospital. I like cycling along here - it's so lovely not to have to worry about traffic passing by too close/too fast, and the sides of the path are a haven for wildlife.
