The Esplanade Beauty.
I like visiting this beautiful well tended part of Rishton, where the orange Calendulas have been growing prolifically and beautifully. They are now at three stages, bud, flower and seedhead. Masses of them are growing alongside the well established yellow, red and violet roses. PInk roses as well. There are many plants and grasses I do not know the name of.
I saw bees on the lavender but no butterflies there this morning.
They are on a bus route.between Blackburn and Burnley.
The flower beds are tended by the residents and Hyndburn Council. The upliftment of spirit seeing these thriving plants and flowers is a real joy.
The temperature is a merciful 20c and sunny with a breeze. I could not be more thankful as the extreme heat has been too much for many of us.
Have a good Wednesday. Prayers for those suffering.
Thanks for dropping by to read my journal.
