Red Bird

yesterday, after getting drenched clearing the garden and planting flowers in the rain, i sought refuge in the pumphouse where i took off my shirts to dry.

i placed one of my favorite t-shirts, bearing a grainy lithograph of south american revolutionary che guevara, on a stool.

behind the stool was a 50-pound bag of wild bird seed.
