Suburbia

We went shopping today. We being Jill, her parents and me. I didn't have much to get a photo of, so I got this of the shopping center we visited. Her parents don't do much. We stay in. Dinner is around 4 p.m. Her mom has strict rules that must be followed even though we're adults nearing 40.

The suburbs are unusual to me. I lived in downtown Phoenix for two years and near downtown for three years before that. I lived in West Palm Beach near the coast, and before that I was near downtown Austin. I've lived in or near city centers since 2011. I seldom would venture to suburbs. It's not my style of life.

As I said before, her mom and friends seem afraid of the city. I don't understand that. It's not scary or dangerous. It's just not dull and quiet.
