Out with a coffee and down to the pier, as demanded. What wasn’t foreseen however was virtual rabbits! Yes, at two pound a pop. The roller coaster and deck chairs were great ... but virtual rabbits stole the show.
Onward via Gecko and Cos through the Laines to the White Rabbit for nachos and up to the Wax Factor where Mark is still toiling away for his pittance. I bought a Furry Freak Brothers comic off him to swell the coffers in his upcoming retirement.
Back to spruce up and then a bite in the Basketmakers before the main event - Lucinda Williams at the Dome. It being twenty years since its release, she was playing the whole of Car Wheels, complete with anecdotes and film clips. Utterly spellbinding and the band (Buick 6) kicked it out some. As she said at the end, after sorrowfully suggesting we could bond over our leaders, peace and love, y’all !
