Goldilocks, all growed up.

Oooooh, somebody's been sleeping in my bed... and she's still there!

Inspired by a blog of Old Teddy Bears, I sought out my two favourite toys from childhood and, since they've been languishing on my wardrobe shelf for at least a couple of years, I thought I'd give them a bit if a change of scenery.

Don't know what happened to Teddy's ears and eyes, but he lost most of his fur over several years, as I would pull at it as I cuddled him to sleep. He broke his arm in a skiing accident and no amount of bandaging was able to fix it. Other than these minor inconveniences though, he is still the bear he always was.

Goldilocks used to have long golden plaits, but my brother cut them off in a fit of pique one day (I must have done something horribly big-sisterly to annoy him) so she went to the doll hospital for a new head of hair. Not sure when the eyelashes disappeared, but she's been wearing makeup ever since.

I think Ted looks remarkably like Aloysius [age 55] in the Old Teddys blog - maybe they are long lost brothers!?

Sorry I haven't been blipping or commenting for a while. Mainly due to Christmas gigs and family preparations, then the need to have a complete rest from everything for a while. I'm getting back into it now, and didn't stop taking photos over the holiday period, so expect quite a few back blips. Here are a couple:
