Afterwards

Today felt like a hot summer equivalent of Boxing Day.....the day after the big one (in this case enormous heat) and the big family feast. The weather was less dramatic... cooler (still 25!), cloudy, odd bits of rain but also some sun, and there was less mayhem. Started off with K planning for her Sunday feasting for the next Formula 1 race watching party. It’s a German Grand Prix so the food will be German...sausages, Black Forest gateau etc. Saw a suggestion of what looks like a tray of mini beers but is actually orange jelly with cream on top in shot glasses. So off we went in search of little glasses and sausages. Picked up a bubble machine and some chalks for AR and Mx whilst we were in the cheap shops, and later took them round and played in the garden for a while. In between times A came round and we went out for lunch with P. He was on good form although says he’s feeling his age (91) in that he’s finding he walks slower and is accepting help walking his dog so he only has to go out twice a day rather than three times! They agreed A&N would have Diesel for a week to give P a chance to do other things. He wants to go and get a new mitre cutting piece of kit to help him with the framing he does, and also sort out his glasses and other things he feels he has no time to do when Diesel is with him....
Quiet evening, and an early night
