Team Effort

Because I'm moving classrooms, I knew I'd need to put a bit of time in over the holidays. During 'moving day' last week, I brought all my stuff to the new cupboard, to find that it was largely full, as I had feared. We just rammed my stuff in, and decided to leave it until we were ready to tackle it. It would have been easy to just let it go, but I knew if I left it I'd regret not sorting it while we had time. Luckily some friends agreed to help, and we chose today as it was a bit cooler.

Never have I filled so many black bags with rubbish! I arrived before 9am and was there until 1pm. It was pretty grim, but many hands make light work as they say, so I feel it looks a lot better. It just needs a deep clean at the end of August and then we can set it up as our own. I put the first bits on one display, so that makes it feel a bit more like home! I might pop in next week to fiddle about, but at the least the donkey work has been done.

Hopefully it will be painted in October and we'll be able to tone down that bright blue that's been there for twenty odd years to the more muted one!

Walked the dog this evening and now I've done 12,400 steps.
