Hill House
On our way to Tayside for the Scottish 6days of Orienteering. We decided to come up a day early to get the travelling out of our system before competing on Sunday.
I spotted the NT Hill House nears Helensburgh and thought it a good stopping off point. It was home to the Blackie family (book publishers) and designed by Rennie Mackintosh. It is undergoing major restoration and conservation. With this in mind it has been surrounded by a box of mesh but with staircases and elevated walk ways that allow for an alternative view of the property.... see extras.
Really enjoyed my visit and must return once more rooms have been restored. Advance apologies if I cannot comment. Not sure of the wi if at our cottage. Have a great weekend everyone.
