Wild flowers
galore on this morning’s walk. We again did a familiar route back to front coming to the newly mown fields first before reaching the trees of Cottingley Woods. (This was for those who ‘bus pass’ walk to try out for their group putting the steep ascent to the folly in the woods at the end as a descent instead)
The edges of the fields still had tall clumps of wild flowers and grasses so I thought they would be good for a Flower Friday blip and also are typical of the high summer meadows and paths at this time of year. In the background of this shot is the hill known as Birchlands which divides the villages of Cullingworth and Wilsden.
It was a bit fresher this morning but it is now still very sultry. We’ve had about 6 spots of rain, just like yesterday evening though I believe there was rain in the night.
Feeling quite tired now as the last few nights have been very draining.
Have a great weekend everyone.
( Just been watching Le Tour de France and the stage has been cancelled due to a snow storm and landslide above Val d’Isere! Extreme weather everywhere!)
