Crazy!

What to do on the hottest day of the year..run 10k of course! 10 degrees is too hot for me to run so this was challenging, but we did it. Unfortunately, due to a burst water main, the route had to be revised last minute and the first two km through Durham and a long the riverside were very slow, with quite a bit of walking, and at one point we had to stop. After that we kept a steady pace, very much enjoying a run through the local fire brigades water wall. 

Back in Whitley Bay we were too exhausted to do anything so were straight off to bed.

Here's hoping it's a lot cooler for our next challenge.. The Great North Run...
