Cooling Off

We were all a little tired this morning after those crazy storms last night! Thankfully we were pretty organised for going away, and our journey north was a lot easier than my sister's trying to get home from their break in the big smoke last night. They eventually got back at 1.30am, so we headed straight out of Newcastle to the coast to theirs. Post lunch we headed off to the beach in bathers, shorts and t-shirts. C has no memory of being up here without her woolly hat, scarf and extra cosy mittens! 

The kids happily played games, ran into the sea, and buried A in the sand. K and I chatted and read, and I had a chilly swim.

Back to the house for tea, then a stroll to the front for ice cream and back for a much needed early night for 4 tired kids. 

K and I made the most of the gorgeous evening with a short run along the front and a cooling swim in beautifully clear water.
