Floriferous

On the roadside on one side of Swinton precinct are patches of mown grass. Very tidy, but dull.

And then there are two patches which are a riot of wildflower and insect life.

This is where KFC were refused planning permission for a drive in takeaway, appealed and lost the appeal. So there is now no maintenance.

Some may think it an untidy mess. That may be what KFC hope.

But others - me included - may well think it looks wonderful. It has height, structure, colour and life. So much better than a flat piece of short mown grass.

On the other hand ..... I have avoided listening to the new (unbelievable) PM, although from the snippets I have heard we are heading for a pre Christmas general election. The heart sinks.
