Summer in the City

Most of my day has been spent in Salford. It may be hot, but there is a lot of work on.

On the other hand, on a quick trip into Manchester City Centre, a lot of people are doing what people always do when it gets this hot - a rare event in these parts.

Piccadilly Gardens comes into its own in hot weather, now that the fountains work. The city centre needs more space and greenery to be liveable as it continues to grow.

Meanwhile at the national level, things just got a little bit madder today.
