After the thunder and lightning...

It was 25c when I went to bed at 1am last night. Then, at about 5am there was an almighty thunder storm, quite close over head. Arthur came in miaowing, being a sensitive cat, he was very distressed by the loud noise. I was still suffering with the humidity, pouring sweat, so just lay still and hoped it would go over quickly. There were many rolls of thunder and dramatic lightning, and torrential rain, which was what had woken me. Fortunately, I went back to sleep.
The gardens this morning look refreshed, thank God, as watering them with a watering can is exhausting in the humidity! It is already 24c.
So, today my collage is about things I like to do indoors.
I do listen to some daytime TV, godtv, Jeremy Vine, A Place in the Sun, Escape to the Country, that kind of programme.
But I like reading and the book about the ginger cat is waiting to be enjoyed, and bought from the lovely shop at Chartwell. Kent.
I am an avid fan of The People's Friend as it is a well established kind and useful publication for a good age range, that can be shared with many neighbourhood friends.
Arthur is sleeping on the sunny window sill.
I am drinking water like I do not usually do.
I shall be doing some crochet later as it is calming and a good pastime..
