Blue Sea and Sky

The view from the ferry coming over the Channel this morning - very calm and gentle. We'd booked on an earlier ferry but the queues to get into the port at Calais were dreadful so, despite arriving at the port in plenty of time, we had to get the next ferry. The port was very busy plus very few staff on duty so it just took ages to get through everything. Passport Control (British) was incredibly slow. I suspect quite a few people were, like us, on the ferry after the one they'd booked.

Then the drive home from Dover with busy motorways, especially in the Dartford Tunnel area. Quite a lot of unpacking and washing already done - then we'll spring clean the motorhome ready for its next outing at the end of August. Hard to believe we've lived for a month in a space much smaller than our kitchen!
