Lowther Castle

A trip to Penrith on this glorious and very hot day.  First, to see a friend who has recently moved house and has been busy renovating it for several months.  Good catch up with her.

Then to lunch with another friend at Larch Cottage Nurseries.  Haven't been there for a while - and today was ideal.  We sat out under the wisteria for lunch.  Great.

Quick trip to Lowther Castle as I hadn't been for a while.  Lots of people out enjoying the lovely weather in the courtyard there.

Home via the A6 rather than the motorway.

All in all a great day - only fly in the ointment is the election of BJ as our next Prime Minister.  Well, you can't have it all, I suppose.  Let's hope he lives up to (some) of his promises.
