Among The Living

It was an alcohol-free, toddler-friendly New Year's Eve gathering. It was fun and interesting for all. I felt wonderful, in spite of lingering (but waning) cold symptoms.

I chatted with a few of my friends on the subject, but there was no open discussion of alcohol. There was no need, really. Good company, lively conversation --even a word-game --two 3-year olds, and a 3-month old keeping things funny.

I've had a good year, among the living.
