Down memory lane

A sunny summer Sunday and Triinu's day off, so we decided to have a little drive, visiting Vehoniemi car museum, where the theme this summer is Japanese cars. Finland was their first market in Europe and probably the area where their market share was highest for a long time.

The 70's Toyota Corolla in front was a very common car in my childhood and youth. When I was in the army I traveled to the weekend leaves with a guy who had one before buying my own car. The colour should be mustard though...

Behind the Corolla there's a Datsun 160J Violet from the 70's and Datsun Bluebird from the 60's, the first Japanese model that sold in large numbers. There were also Mazda 1200, Toyota Crown, Toyota Corona and  Isuzu Bellett from the 60's and a Subaru minibus, along with the regular content.

After the car museum we had coffee, doughnuts and ice cream in the museum café and visited the observation tower. A tiny planet view from above the tower with the drone in the first extra.

From Vehoniemi we chose a detour via Sahalahti. The second extra is a drone panorama from Pelisalmi strait, 7 km north of Vehoniemi. Both are surrounded by the best lake views, in Vehoniemi from top of the esker and in Pelisalmi from the bridge.
