Two new museums

After a tricky journey to Kensington (and I didn’t even catch sight of the Boris blimp), I made it to these two fabulous museums.

Leighton House Museum is a stunning house, with an impressive hall with Syrian tiles. Lord Leighton’s Home was turned into a museum and his sculpture, sketches and paintings are shown wonderfully. No photos allowed, unfortunately, but certainly worth a visit.

Nearby is The Design Museum, in the former Commonwealth Building. My blip is taken from the ground floor and tries to capture the lines and clarity of the beautiful wood.

Royal Albert Hall tonight for Joshua Bell at the Proms...

....and I got tickets for the brilliant Serbian violinist, Nemanja Radulovic, for tomorrow night....Just a groupie really.
