Big Butterfly Count 2018

It’s that time of year again.....and some of you may have seen Sir David Attenborough on BBC Breakfast giving Naga Munchetti a hard time. He wanted to encourage us all to take part but she seemed to want to stray into any other area. He was having none of it !

As you know, I love butterflies too, and I’ve done this survey now for what seems nearly as many years as I’ve been blipping. I try to go to the same locations each year, personally comparing what I’ve spotted in previous visits.

I went to Pipe Hill Heathland this morning, in search of more blues. There were three but I didn’t get a clear shot.

So you have one of my resident Peacocks.
