Remote beach

A few miles walk from anywhere.
Very low cloud in the morning so we pottered for a while before heading to Melvaig and a walk to the Rua Reidh lighthouse. I'm sure you didn't used to be able to drive there and it's 3 miles along the road - the extra maybe gives a clue. Two bridges have been replaced, maybe they were even weaker before. The sign was amusing because it was on the far side of the second bridge but the road is a dead-end so to see it you have to have crossed 2 weak bridges already!
From the lighthouse, where the cloud lifted, we walked along the cliffs to above the beach and then a very rough walk back over pathless moor and bog.
