Times Up :(

Despite the forecast we had another good weather day! What better way to tie the weather and the end of our time here in Northumberland but a working sundial! 
We spent most of today at Bamburgh castle (see first extra) which is very impressive, then moved down to the town. First stop there the church and its early christian history and its memorials to Grace Darling the heroic young lady who with her father rowed to rescue survivors of shipwreck on the Farne Islands where her father was the lighthouse keeper. Second extra shows the memorial inside the church for Grace. The sundial is also on the church.
Across the road we also visited the RNLI museum in Graces memory.
