Consecutive
Two days in a row on here for my youngest girl!
Direct from my notes - "Up + coffee + muffin + pool. Girls woke l-a-t-e".
Off to another resort for lunch. I can fully report that although I prefer the setting and general attractiveness of where we are, the choice of food at the food court (a 'Landscape Of Flavors' no less) and alcoholic drink selection at the Art Of Animation complex is far superior to that at Coronado Springs. It just is. Having said that, although I polished off the entree of Mongolian grilled fish and sides no problem, the accompanying 7.2% pint of Torpedo IPA did make me feel a little drowsy - although maybe that was just the fish eh?
They've just opened some real fancy new bit at ours, the Gran Destino tower, so we went to check it out. My girls can report that the chairs in reception are very comfortable and the wi-fi reception is excellent. Us grown-ups were more wanting to consider the views from the 16th floor bar but, alas, it was closed for a private event. Apparently though it is quite the spot to take in any of the nightly fireworks shows from the various parks. And some drinks and snacks in the Barcelona Bar downstairs can be obtained simply by tapping our magic bands....all to be considered for future days and nights.
Some rest then before an evening at Epcot with rides and Mexican food, and then finishing the night off at ours with midnight in the launderette. All of course before walking the grounds of the resort 'til 1am when the tumble drying finished. No regrets - $7 well spent, and a veritable mountain of clean clothes. Plus Tour De France well and truly caught up with.
