Ice Cream Parlour?
After a morning of shopping (mainly unsuccessful!), we looked for somewhere fairly local to stop off for photos and perhaps an ice cream. The National Trust's Chiddingstone Village seemed to fit the bill as "One of the most beautiful and oldest villages in Kent".
It wasn't like anything Mum or I had imagined (we thought of a village green surrounded with by buildings etc.), but just a single street the obligitory pub, shop, a few houses and cottages, a village school and one of the largest churches around (St Mary the Virgin, extra). It was old and pretty, but it is just a pity about the modern cars allowed to park in the road! I did find one not so modern Bentley parked up while it's owners were probably having lunch in the pub (extra).
