Shhhhhhshh don't tell

I took a walk up by Arichonan today. Two things struck me; the first was a group of people being led by a guide who was telling the history of the place with bugger all feeling! The second was the forestry Commission information board that made no mention of the Highland Clearances by name. It simply said the people were cleared from the land and replaced by sheep. That doesn't really explain the whole painful  truth of the sad episode of ethnic cleansing Highland people had to endure nor even the almost abject slavery Lowland people  were forced into by rich landowners! 
I hate it when our history gets air brushed out!
