The Lozarithm Lens

The Old Forge (Monday 15th July 2019)

I had a walk around the woodland garden looking for a possible subject for the MonoMonday challenge and taking pictures along the way, and noticing small changes in the planting.
Last year I planted a new virginia creeper and a replacement boston ivy to grow around the outbuilding. When the first leaves appeared on the boston ivy they were virginia creeper leaves and I though the nursery had sent me the wrong plant, but the younger leaves further along the stem that have started climbing up the wall are indeed boston ivy. You can see them behind the acer in this frame.
In the end none of my pictures was suitable for the week's theme, High Key Or Low Key. If successful this would be a very different result to merely being over exposed or under exposed and requires a subject that lends itself to the treatment, which mine did not. I have put a mono version (not High or Low Key) in Extras.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Dusty Springfield - Losing You (recorded 15 July 1965, London)
Recorded at Philips Studios 44 years ago to the day, Losing You was a big pop hit, written by her brother Tom and Clive Westlake. This clip from Ready Steady Go! is obviously a little time after that, but she is miming to the record, and also entering in to the spirit of things with Gene Pitney and presenter Keith Fordyce.
