May your new year be bounty-ful

It's here.

The dreaded new year.

Last year we stayed in with friends. This year we are staying in alone. Hubby, children, father in law and I.

I class the end of October as the start of something new and to be fair whilst touching lots of wood since then things have improved.

2012 in it's entirety has been a bit of a repeated and painful kick in the balls.

Professionally It's been great so for that I am grateful.

In regards to financial matters it's been a ball breaker with complicated matters that were not our fault and are still not sorted. I wish we were moving into 2013 with a clean slate but we ain't.

Personally it's been up and down. There have been some really tough times constantly cushioned by the fact that we have some wonderful people around us.

The worst times were DS in hospital with flu. Events which hovered in my subconscious and factored into life for months and months. Still now the spectre of what it did to his little body and how long it took him to recover is ever present.

As we have entered the winter the amount of people who have told me they have had flu in the last month or two is immense. Having seen real flu (confirmed with swab) I want to give them a good slap.

There have been some happy times when I have laughed till it hurt and smiled and celebrated. I have been to the most exotic list of seaside holidays topped by Mablethorpe in November ha ha.

I have watched my daughter grow and get a grade one in her cello. My son learnt finally how to blend and read and my youngest son become more troublesome and evermore charming.

Photographically I had come on in leaps and bounds when I have the time but often I have resorted to a mobile phone shot or off the iPad. My dslr was good but I never really got on with it and since the memory card corrupted i put it away. My upgrade is coming this week. I am going to try and take really good photos from then on and take more on a proper camera.

I am making resolutions as well which I don't normally do.

I am going to try and be a bit tidier.
I am going to lose some weight.
Take more photos with my new SLR.

I also have a community choir starting in 11 days. That scares me. I am also starting a ukulele club for children at the local school and this excites me.

I am hopeful for 2013.

Happy new year Blippers x x x x x x health and happiness to you and yours x x x x x.
