Where is my money ?

The plan was to go to set up a new fixed deposit....................

I had made all the arrangements, last Friday, so was expecting it to be a quick trip.

The problem - NO MONEY !

Officially, the money from the previous deposit, should have been paid out 24-48 hours, after the term ended.  Basically, it should have been in my bank account, yesterday, at the latest.

I started by phoning the bank.

Well that was a huge waist of time and worked my nerves. 

The first call. I was eventually put through to the insurance department.   And the person in the insurance department, hung up.

The second call. I was left waiting, whilst a higher authority was "consulted" and then told, I had been given the wrong information and that because it was not their bank, it would take longer.

ANGRY  !   And "terrified" that my money had "been stolen", I jumped in the car and went to the bank.

I was taken to "the manager".

Who eventually told me, that the money was sitting in the Springs' branches account. 

But no worries............... it would be sorted out. 

There was no explanation as to why, it wasn't in the account NOW - other than a vague reference to the fact that the person who had attended to me, the week before, had not done it correctly. 

Of course, she was not at the bank today.

Another teller, attended to me.  I did the fingerprints, photo, signed the piece of paper etc. 

I was told, the money would be in my account on Saturday.

Pacified, I returned home, to begin my actual day. 

PS.  I had gone reading outdoors at the gym, for the first time in 3 weeks - I was very pleased to see my "desk", was still there. It was full of dust, so I am guessing, it had not seen too much action.  Lucky for me, it was not too cold.  Enjoyed my little "read" in the sun, before STEP and pilates.
