Honfleur Artist
After breakfast this morning we travelled by coach to Honfleur. We have visited before but not for well over 25 years. Really enjoyed strolling around in the sunshine and watched this artist for some time from when he started painting. On the way to Honfleur our guide pointed out the way flowers (iris and house leeks) were grown on the ridge of the thatched roofs. This is to draw excess water from the thatch and is still done today as can be seen from the modern thatch in extras.
We returned to the ship for lunch and then set sail. Next stop Vernon to moor overnight and then visit Monet's garden tomorrow. I spent a fair amount of time on the sundeck photographing some of the industry on the banks of the Seine.
