2019 Sunday — Doggie in the Window
Mitzi sat for the longest time late this afternoon watching out the window. The blue of the ocean is difficult to see because of the fog that lingered most of the day. When the temperatures in the inland region are hot that causes fog here on the coast because of the tremendous temperature difference of the air and the water.
The fog is refreshing but certainly impossible to see through it. Thankfully it did clear for several hours late today.
Because we’ve had a T-MobiIe hotspot borrowed from the library for this past week (and it’s due back first thing tomorrow), I have spent much of today and most of yesterday and actually Friday too working online on my fall semester materials.
Because I am teaching freshman Composition in fall and I haven’t taught it in years (because I love teaching Basic writing), I have to set-up a new online class and a new online Writing Lab because my class is a hybrid class — we only meet once a week in the campus classroom. So ugh! I am spending too much of my summer doing school prep work. And this coming semester will be my final semester teaching, so this all seems a little crazy. I just keep believing there’s a silver lining here somewhere.

P.S. Our male dog, Max, is not doing well. His left back leg is not functioning, so he hops instead of walking, and he seems confused by this. So tomorrow we head to the veterinarian.
