Fireweed in bloom

The fireweed flower is bursting with purple color now. Their clusters make for such beautiful images. Wild girls they are, gathering us near, then blowing this way and that on their long stalks as we approach.

They are out along the hillsides. Summer will be over before we can stand to relinquish her .
