Hopes Reservoir
The ground conditions were very different from those on our icy walk last year from Longyester to Hopes Reservoir with no adders seen!  We heard grouse as we continued up the hill passing grouse butts and wondered if there would be the sounds of guns after the Glorious Twelfth.  The views from the top of Lammer Law were extensive looking south to the Cheviot hills in England although the hills to the north were more hazy.  The extra shows the view as we were going down, with the patchwork of fields of East Lothian and the white guano top of Bass Rock in the distance.
