Last Day

It’s the last day here. Leaving on Tuesday to travel up to Lake Lugano for a few days. That’s in Switzerland so I will be reporting a different scene there – organization rather than organized chaos. Actually this part of Italy seems more orderly than other regions I have visited.
 
Anyway, a return to the church of St Agostino, from which we were ejected at lunchtime last week. Its not huge but its perfectly formed and it really has got some breathraking treasures. Stunning renaissance frescos and marble carvings. Plus a serene cloister with a garden in the middle.  And if you can zoom in on the bas relief carving you will see what I mean. Totally fab
