Leaving before sunrise

Appointment in Newcastle today - 6 week echocardiogram. A long drive for a short appointment but there’s no other way around it.
We left before sunrise which is always a bit risky with the kangaroos about, but we saw none on the road.
Drove all day with a break for the appointment and a quick stop for food and got home just before sunset.
We will do the same again next Wednesday for an appointment with the surgeon although hopefully instead of coming home, we’ll get clearance to fly to Perth for a conference!
