Bulb ring

After a short trip down the M6, spent a lovely day in another part of the Midlands, Birmingham, catching up with old university friends.

Spent most of the afternoon chatting over a meal in the warmth and cosiness of a local pizzeria, where my son also sampled his first taste of ice cream. Made time to stroll around the city building up our appetite first though. Grabbed this picture of my friend and his two sons (one of them on his shoulders) on our way home. Just one of the many sets of bright lights still remaining around the city. But particularly liked that these were just about the biggest bulbs I'd ever seen.
