Here’s looking at you
Another packed day. Called in at Bearsted Market on a walk around the village which also included a visit to show off the weeds to our friends.
Between us we bought quite a bit of stuff at the market, me bread and sausages, and Paul various pies and pasties.
Lunch was late and a barbecue, first of the year. Vegetable kebabs, burgers and sausages but not the ones I’d bought at the market. Not only was the barbecue colourful it also made me laugh with the two beady eyes and long legs looking over the top.
After our friends had gone we travelled to Sevenoaks for the final concert in their Summer Festival to see the inestimable Rick Wakeman perform an eclectic collection of piano pieces all interspersed with marvellous stories and risqué jokes. What a consummate musician he is.
