Smoke

There is a ritual about returning to a normal. The first stage is tidying up. New stuff needs to find a place; old stuff needs to be dealt with. Part of clean start, fresh page, ...

This first phase can take a long time as long lost friends are found and as decisions are made about old stuff. Sometimes, the first phase never ends. I found some incense sticks which used to be part of a morning ritual in preparation for the day ahead.

I lit one and the smoke made some wonderful enigmatic shapes. It had to be a blip.

I'm still at the first stage and the journey to a normal is being suspended. The departure of 2012 and the arrival of 2013 needs to be marked.
