Arctic Terns #73
We woke this morning to some rain.....how dare it rain when we are on holiday! Luckily it did not last too long and by 11am we were on our way over to Cemlyn Bay to see the terns. This year we managed to see all 3 species - Sandwich, Arctic and Common Terns. The warden told us that there were almost twice as many pairs this year as there were last year which is great news.
Because of the rain and cloud, the light wasn't too good, but I managed some passable shots of all 3 I think - my main blip is the Arctic Tern, the black billed one is the sandwich tern and the one with the red and black tipped bill is the common tern.
