Special visit

Today as representatives of the various volunteer groups in our area were guests of Minister David Speirs in a morning tea gathering at the Belair Volunteer Centre. He is Minister for Environment and Water and is doing a wonderful job for the environment in South Australia.

David was born in Scotland, completing his education in Adelaide. He started a volunteer group in his local area, and this later lead him to a Local Council position and then into politics. His father worked on the ferries from Stranraer to Belfast.

The other guy in the suit is our local state member, Sam Duluk. 2 of the volunteers from our group are the ones wearing the blue tops.
