Six-pack

Going to the gym does not mean attaining a six-pack like my friend has displayed. However all of us that are interested in health and fitness can do with being a bit leaner.

You can do abdominal exercises or crunches until you're blue in the face, but they won't significantly "spot reduce" the body fat around your midsection. There's no way to selectively reduce your body fat. You simply need to bring your overall body-fat levels down. Sadly this means watching your total calorie intake and burning more calories through more steps, and more exercise.

Paladian and I followed the 5-2 diet several years ago and felt the best we have felt in years. We are going to return to it again very soon. No we do not hope to get abdominals like my friend. Just to stay healthy and lose a few kilos.
