By Royal Appointment

Today we got to visit Birkhall, the residence of HRH The Duke & Duchess of Rothesay, for a private tour of their gardens.

Unfortunately we weren’t allowed to take any photos so this is a picture of our first group of volunteers before their tour. I went round twice.

A beautiful ‘house’ and lovely gardens, I especially loved the stumpery. And not as manicured as you might imagine. In fact it was quite charming and we got a real insight into how the royal family spend their time here.

Being a 3-hour drive each way, I was pretty knackered by the time I got back home.
