The long white waves seemed to accentuate the colour of the sea as we walked from Whitesands Bay to Skateraw and back. It was a very different type of coastal walk from yesterday and is normally a good place for butterflies but unfortunately the wind was too strong for many to be on the wing.  On top of Barns Ness lighthouse there were dozens of birds some of which can also be seen flying along the shore in the extra.
