Wood on Wednesday...Hieroglyphic Horses
I imagined that I was doing some spelunking somewhere in the West, and I came upon these colorful horses deep in the cave. (It could happen.)
I haven't said much about it, but it seems like my van story is finally over. If you recall, we broke down in Bowling Green, Kentucky, on January 12th, and were stranded for 5 days with transmission problems. The Dodge dealership there "fixed" it, and we were on our way to Florida. Or...did they...fix it?
Move ahead to May 1st. My van is leaking very badly in my garage, so I take it out to our local dealership. Everything good, huh? Not hardly.
After a couple of days, they call me. Of the eight bolts that hold the transmission in...one is missing, one is broke off in its well, and one is being held in with super glue. WHAT? Everything good, huh? Not hardly.
Even with my extended warranty, Dodge doesn't want to pay for it, and the dealership in Kentucky won't take a phone call from anybody. So, there it sits. But, we are driving a practically new loaner van...so...let them keep the now non-drive-able van.
Finally, after having our van for 8 weeks, they call me and said they ordered a new transmission. They still are debating on who is going to pay for it...but it won't be me! I picked it up at 2 p.m today.
Sorry for the too-long story, but it has really been aggravating and troublesome. Makes me want to take a trip, and kick some Bowling Green butt.
