Off for an outing today, to a little-known waterhole about 50kms out of town.

The water was cool, the trees were shady and the pond even came with its own rope to swing on. The bonus was a pair of Ulysses butterflies - these drove me crazy throughout the day. Their electric blue wings are so vibrant that they can't help but draw the eye, but I hadn't got a zoom lens, and the butterflies were tripping on some local 'produce' and wouldn't settle still for one second!
