Navvy rose

So wonderful to be at home again, even though we have had a wonderful trip. The fireweed is blooming on the "rubbish" grounds. I think it is a wonderfully beautiful flower, but for many it is weed. It is a flower from happy childhood days. We could see it everywhere where the navvies or road builders had been. The Swedish common name is "navvy rose".

The Latin name is Chamerion angustifolium. And I found out the British English name is rosebay willow herb.
