Dragonfly Ovipositing in the Pond

After yesterday's almost intolerably high pollen high humidity high temperature day - when I really just wanted to hide in a darkened room and whimper - today's gentle westerly breeze is most welcome. 

Out on the pond, what I think is an Emperor Dragonfly (female, obvs) is playing roulette with her eggs in a pond full of assorted koi and other fish. It would be nice to think that some of them will survive to crawl up the reeds and iris later.
